Using a combination of SCRUM and Agile methodology, coordinated the efforts of a full development and resource team to meet deadlines, improve efficiency, and bring a new level of automation to a very complex industry.

¨        Established and adhered to a 30 day release cycle. Each release cycle was comprised of 3 - 4 weeks of development, a week of QA and bug fixes, and then a release process which included the development of trainings, a final peer review of all tasks to be released, and a highly coordinated release with all the stakeholders aware of the status of every task and when the release is live. During the QA portion, the Business Analysts sat down with the developers and had a requirements review for the projects and tasks to be completed in the following release.

¨        Evaluated complex processes with a team of stakeholders from several different offices across the country and leveraged the knowledge of each group to bring clarity and efficiency to the processes.

¨        Worked with a small team to create an ROI with 5 year projections for purchasing one of three different 3rd party software solutions and the costs and work effort of integrating with each, or developing the solution in house.

¨        Responsible for the migration of independent sites accessing the quote data via an xml web service from an old schema to a new schema, and coordinating the efforts of an internal development staff with the client's web development team to bring this transition about.

¨        Taking inspiration from the gaming world, designed a new business workflow, database design, and long-term objectives for a “passport ID” that will bring a single username and password experience to multiple corporate systems that are all utilizing their own user databases.

¨        Created a Cost Benefit and Analysis report that led to the brokering of a relationship with a third party to acquire vital industry information that was required to remain competitive, and then gathered all the requirements, put together the business requirements documentation, and implemented on those requirements to create an integration via a web service call that pulled that required data from the third party directly and seamlessly into the existing user experience.

¨        Spear-headed a custom project that included the design and development of a new Underwriting quote database with accompanying user interface, a data-entry tool for entering the underwriting information into the database, and a completely new web application that would access the existing quote engine via a web service call, but allow the flexibility to the interface that the client needed.
